The Annual Day of the school was celebrated on 14th February 2019 with a new vision and perspective under the guidance of the visionary Principal Madam Mrs.Maharukh Daruwalla. It was the first Annual Day Celebration in the renovated Assembly hall of the Secondary School building. The Trustee, honourable Mrs. Freny Jehangir blessed the occasion with her pleasing presence.
The successful ex-students, making name and fame in their respective fields, Mr.Kedar Dahibaukar, a well known sculptor; and Mr.Bhavin Furia the well established artist were invited as the guests so that the blooming students would get inspiration from them. The Assembly Hall was ready to welcome the invitees in its full glamour and splendour. It was aptly decorated for the theme ‘Unity in diversity’ of the cultural Programme, the narrative was visualized by the audience on projector which helped in carrying out the theme beautifully and effectively to the audience.
The programme began at 11 am with the Lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. A melodious prayer song filled the atmosphere with purity. A dance on a welcome song performed by cheerful & proud Pre-Primary students, expressing their love, respect and gratitude towards their school, pleased the audience. The Pre-Primary students presented a fabulous dance on Indian culture. The next was a Zumba Dance put up by the young and dynamic students of STD II on ‘Healthy India’. This was followed by the introduction of the guests and felicitation of all the dignitaries on the dias.
The students were awarded with Prizes for their outstanding achievements in curriculam and co-curricular activites. Then the parents witnessed the active participation of the students in the different school activities thoughout the year through the video presentation. The responsibility of anchoring the cultural programme which followed was shouldered by the brilliant students; the Head Girl Miss Kinjal Koli and the rising star Master Darius Shroff. They both did an excellent job. They toured the audience through the different regions of India describing the different historical and cultural aspects.
All the audience were mesmerised and bewildered to see the primary teacher performing a Rajasthani folk dance. Everyone cheered up the teachers with the claps. The theme ‘Unity in Diversity’ was summed up in the grand finale. The audience applauded praising the efforts of the students.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Sushila. Everyone dispersed after The National Anthem.
