26th January, 2019, the 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated with a lot of zeal and patriotic fervour on the school grounds. All the staff members & students were present on this auspicious occasion. The guests of honour; Miss Charmi Gultka a practitioner, Physiotherapist, and Miss Varsha Solanki, a student of medical science were welcomed with the guard of honour by the band group. Tiranga was unfurled by the guests at 8 a.m. the music group sang the National Anthem and then Mrs. Parab gave the ‘Dwaja Pratidnya’ to all. The Zanda geet filled the hearts of everyone with pride and everyone paid respect to Tiranga by giving the general salute. The proud students smartly did the ‘march past’ on the beats of the drum. It was followed by a Patriotic Song by the music group. Miss Alina Shaikh a Primary student gave an inspirational speech. The Pre-Primary students presented a dance on a patriotic song and classical dance was presented by the secondary students. The students Miss Pratiksha Nirmal, Miss Mansi Padwal, Mast. Hardik Bohra gave speeches in English, Marathi and Hindi languages respectively. A silent skit was performed on the idea ‘Unity in Diversity’.
The Mime dance depicted the selflon devotion and dedicating of the freedom fighters for setting India free from the dominance of the British. Excellent performance was given by the Yoga students and many students enacted as the national leaders. The guests were felicitated and introduced and prizes were given away to the winners for different curricular and co-curricular activities. The guests gave an inspiring speech. The Principal Mrs.Daruwalla gave a motivating speech telling that we must understand and follow our great constitution. After the vote of thanks tea and snacks were served.
